FACULTY AT LEVEN INSTITUTE

DANIEL LEVEN, RSMT, is Founder and Director of Leven Institute of MovementTherapy. Drawing from over 30 years of experience, Daniel created two integrative approaches to body-mind healing and wellness Shake Your Soul® and SomaSoulSM. As a former professional dancer and Program Director at Kripalu where he co-founded Kripalu Danskinetics™ Daniel has led numerous workshops and professional certification trainings at Omega Institute and Kripalu Center. A graduate of the Hartford Family Institute’s Body-Centered Gestalt Psychotherapy Training Program, he is currently adjunct faculty member training psychotherapists in body-centered gestalt therapy.

JAYNE DEAN, LMFT, LADC, RPT-S, is a licensed marriage and family therapist, alicensed alcohol and drug counselor and a practicing psychotherapist since 1987. She is an AAMFT approved supervisor and a registered play therapist andsupervisor. She is on the faculty of Hartford Family Institute's Body-Centered Gestalt Therapy Training program. She is a certified SomaSoulSM therapist and a certified Shake Your Soul® dance instructor. She has led workshops on Sandtray Therapy, Play Therapy, and Expressive Movement in the USA and Europe. For Leven Institute she is a faculty member of the SomaSoulSMProgram.

EMILY FOX, RSMT, began training with Daniel Leven in 1995 and has assisted in his programs for the past 4 years. She is a certified Shake Your Soul®/Kripalu DansKinetics® instructor, SomaSoulSM therapist and certified Massage Therapist, and has taught these modalities in a number of educational venues. With a lifelong interest in movement, Emily has studied a variety of dance forms including ballet, modern, African, Ballroom and Latin dance. In addition, she studied T’ai Chi and holds a brown belt in Shu Ryi Ru Karate. Emily brings her compassion, sense of humor, and love of teaching movement to her role as faculty member in the Shake Your Soul®/Kripalu DansKinetics® Teacher Training.

MARTHA EDDY, RSMT, CMA, Ed.D., founder and director of the Center for Kinesthetic Education (CKE), brings to the fields of health, wellness and education, her strong belief in the power of movement and somatic-awareness to enhance lives. She received her doctorate from Teachers College, Columbia University in movement science and education in 1998 and has a Masters of Arts in Applied Physiology and a Bachelors degree in Dance Education. She was an adjunct assistant professor in the Teachers College, Columbia University Dance Education Program for ten years.
